The WTMJ radio website has a disturbing story about a lawsuit involving the Franciscan Villa nursing home in South Milwaukee.

A lawyer for Mary Speigl claims she was sexually assaulted inside her room by a male resident who was notorious in the Franciscan Villa nursing home in South Milwaukee.
The lawsuit says the male resident, who was notorious within the facility for being sexually aggressive, was allowed to wonder the halls by himself. That is when he allegedly made his way into the 90-year-old woman’s room and assaulted her.
Speigl died less than a month later.

Make a checklist of companies you would desire, like home upkeep, nursing help, and many a little more. Also, ask for your cost of every service you would need to have. This will likely offer you a picture around the complete cost for your retirement home.
The comment above regarding the cost of your retirement home doesn’t seem to have any relationship to the alleged rape. When anyone is paying over $200 per day for care they should be taken care of NOT neglected. The Franciscian Villa needs to address the issues and provide a safe environment for their patients. The staff to patient ratio and better communication from the staff might have avoided this occurrence all together. In this type of business the owner needs to take a good look at the care of the patients, hire quality employees and not look so much at his bottom line. Would he want this to happen to his loved one????
