In-Person Absentee Voting Open In South Milwaukee

South Milwaukee residents can now vote in the gubernatorial and lieutenant governor recall elections.

Voting at City Hall is open during normal city business hours through Friday, June 1, ahead of the June 5 recall election.

Absentee voting has been brisk, including in Oak Creek. I’ve been told it’s pretty busy in South Milwaukee too.

Are the Dem’s offering free cigarettes??? or meals???

    • While the “smokes for votes” and the other isolated incidents you reference are wrong and should be (and were) prosecuted, I feel extremely confident in the integrity of the vote in Wisconsin, Milwaukee County and South Milwaukee. Time and time again, investigators can find no evidence of widespread voter fraud, and I believe them. I have to. Of course, the rhetoric is to the contrary, as many, especially on the right, assume that voter fraud will happen each and every election (and, of course, only benefit Democrats). In that way, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Predict it will happen, and then when there is an isolated case or two, claim you were right, and the cycle continues. I just want to see proof it’s actually happening on any wide scale before I buy it as reality.

    Erik,
Are you sure about the date of the recall? I thought it was June 5th.
