Alderman Brooks Suicide is a tragic ending to a life, and also for the people who were friends and family of the person who took their own life. It is beyond my comprehension that in 2012 any one who ridicule a suicide victim by saying they are “haunting” a place. How ignorant. I have lived in South Milwaukee for over 30 years and have never heard that the 7 Bridges wer haunted or that any suicides were committed there. I am sure your “cute” story has hurt many families of suicide victims as it has mine. Kathleen
I apologize for offending anyone. That was never intended, nor contemplated (it should have been). The post was meant to provide a link to a story referencing South Milwaukee — as I do with all stories like this I come across. I urge you to contact the author and make the same point you make here. And I assure you I understand the gravity of suicide. Unfortunately, my own family has had to confront this same issue head on.
