Finally, some good weather for the annual South Milwaukee Earth Day cleanup!
Join us from 9 a.m. to noon at these four sites around town …
- First District: Oak Creek Parkway/North Chicago
- Second District: South Milwaukee Fire Department
- Third District: City Hall
- Fourth District: 16th and Rawson (Oak Creek Parkway)
All you need to do is show up, sign in, get your garbage bags (and other freebies) and get to cleaning up Oak Creek and other public areas. A hot dog lunch is planned for noon at the Senior Center.
Learn more in my previous post, which includes information on the Friends of the Mill Pond and Oak Creek Watercourse’s request for volunteers to meet at the Grant Park beach house around 8 a.m. for a cleanup in that area.
And don’t forget that the South Milwaukee Library is also offering paper shredding and the South Milwaukee Police Department is taking medicines on Saturday.
