The Journal Sentinel is reporting that Wisconsin’s Public Service Commission will receive a $1.7 million grant to map existing broadband Internet access and plan more. You can see the story here.
I think I know what the map will show for 1713 Cedar Street — a dead zone.
I’ve tried on numerous occasions over the years to obtain DSL service at my home, and I’ve been told it’s not available in our neighborhood. (I’ve had to pay too much for Roadrunner service instead.)
I’m wondering if anyone in the 4th District — or City of South Milwaukee, for that matter — has had similar issues. If so, please post a comment below.
I hope I’m the exception, not the rule, and that the information superhighway flows freely through our city.
