Just a quick shoutout to the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, which has a few great shows coming up …
- This Saturday, it’s “John Mueller’s Winter Dance Party,” a re-creation of the final tour of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper. Showtime is 8 p.m.
- Next Friday, Jan. 25, is Avner Eisenberg’s “Exceptions to Gravity,” showcasing “a master of the art of physical comedy.” Curtains up at 7:30 p.m.
- Then, on Feb. 2, it’s “Sybarite5: The Shuffle Effect,” where the string concert program is determined live from the stage, based on what comes up on the band’s iPod Shuffle. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
As I’ve said, these are the types of shows we’re blessed to land in South Milwaukee, where the PAC allows us to punch above our weight when it comes to local arts offerings.
