What Do You Think of the Union Proposal Before the Legislature?

I want to know what you think of Gov. Scott Walker’s plan to restrict collective bargaining rights for public workers and reduce their benefits as part of his budget repair bill.

I’ve added a new poll on the right side of this page. Cast your vote!

Many workers within the school districts have said they have no problem with paying more for their health insurance and towards their pension. I totally agree with this also to cut state costs. The issue here is that Walker wants to take away the union’s right of collective bargaining. Why should state worker’s be denied this when all other unions (non-state worker unions) be able to continue with collective bargaining. I don’t want to see

Many workers within the school districts have indicated they have no problem with paying more for their health insurance and toward their pension. I agree this is necessary to cut state costs. The issue is that Walker wants to take away the union’s right to collective bargaining. Why should state workers be taken away of this right when all other unions (non-state worker unions) be able to continue with collective bargaining. I don’t want ANY unions to lose this fundamental right. Walker is going overboard. If he really wants to cut costs in state, don’t pick on the teachers who provide valuable knowledge to our students or on the operations staff who work so hard daily to keep the schools clean and functional and safe for its students. Let’s cut out some of the top administrator;s salaries and positions who make 6 digit salaries and who also have administrative assistants who also have assistants. Why is this necessary?
That’s where the real cuts should be. Through the collective bargaining the workers have continuously worked in the past with the school district to make sacrifices to keep costs down. Let’s stop Walker from taking away this right.
