  1. Ho, boy. I guess this means tpers will be on late night prowl agan, turning South Milwaukee into Sewer Milwaukee — at least along Oak Creek Parkway across from the high school. Is the police department truly impotent in preventing this annual act of vandalism? If so and the students are intent on defiling public property, how about they trash school property or the homes of the indulgent parents who think such juvenile behavoir is so cute. Or if neither of those alternatives are acceptable, how about they at least counter their little fun by doing the responsible thing and cleaning their mess up the next day.

  2. Jerrianne: I know the school district is being much more proactive on this issue this year, and it is working with students to prevent a repeat of what happened in 2010. It has also reached out to police on this. I feel good about the response and the district’s partnership here. They have taken the concerns raised by me and others (you and other constituents) seriously, and am I thankful for that. Did their work have an effect? Ask me Friday morning.

How about Rocket Booster Parents spend the days out there preventing it from happening again

  4. And I just got this email from Ante Udovicic, coordinator of activities, athletics and recreation for the high school: “South Milwaukee HS Administration is working closely with students during Homecoming Week and has stressed that everyone remain safe and be respectful of the surrounding neighborhood throughout this week.”
