Why do you think the vote was so low today…? And, am wondering what you think of the restoration of the Lagoon? I would love to have you write about that in your blog…
Annie: As for voter turnout, I’m actually surprised it was as high as it was, at 12%. Having no city races on the primary ballot — and only a couple of judicial races — kept people away, and the frigid weather probably didn’t help. Our turnout in South Milwaukee has been relatively high in other elections recently, and I expect that to continue.

I don’t know of much new news at this point, but promise to keep people informed on the issue when I hear more. My position? I lay it out pretty well in these posts from 2012 …
