While it’s no longer printed and mailed to residents, the city still publishes its “Keeping in Touch” newsletter online.
The latest edition was just published. Find it here.
It’s a terrific resource for news and information across every city department, as well as upcoming events.
Check it out!

You do a great job of keeping people informed, but I am a computer user,.
I am sorry to hear that city newsletter will no longer be mailed out, how will
citizens who do not have access to computers be informed. Will copies
be available to be picked up in convenient places e.g. libraries, banks,
stores, etc.?
Constance: Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, I don’t believe it’s available in hard copy anywhere, but I’m checking.
While you’re checking on Constance’s question, can you see if there is a bit more automated way of getting the newsletter? Like maybe a mailing list you can sign up for that says when the updated issue is available or something? I can’t say that I go to the SM site on a regular basis. While it’s great that you let us know of these updates, there should be a more official way of getting the word out, especially since this news letter is one of the primary means that the city has for letting the people know of city ordinance changes and other seasonal info. One wonders how new people in town will even figure out some of the ordinances without that newsletter coming to their house – or even long-term residents getting reminders. I can name a bunch of “violations” just from the last letter….
The same information that is in the Newsletter will be mailed to every resident and business in South Milwaukee in the South Milwaukee Neighborhood Guide mid November.
And there are some printed copies of Keeping in Touch available at City Hall and the library, I’ve been told.
