On this Giving Tuesday, here’s another potential local gift this holiday: Give to one of South Milwaukee’s terrific charities or organizations.
There are too many to list here, obviously, but I’ll offer a few …
- Human Concerns (Of course, they can always use food, household goods, and more. But please consider giving money, too. I know they can use it not only during the holiday season, but all year long.)
- Interfaith
- South Milwaukee Lions
- South Milwaukee Legacy
- Friends of the Mill Pond and Oak Creek Watercourse, Friends of Grant Park or Restore the Lagoon.
- South Milwaukee Historical Society
- South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center
Or donate some toys that the Brooks family will take to area homeless and domestic violence shelters on Christmas Eve. (We are doing this for the third straight year this year; if you can donate money or new toys, please comment below or email me at erikbrooks32@gmail.com).
In other words, there are plenty of ways to give this holiday season. Please consider doing so.

Great message, great idea. Thanks Don Bulley FOMP
