Once again, South Milwaukeeans stepped up for charity.
Congratulations to the South Milwaukee Police Department, which raised $1,746 for St. Baldrick’s Foundation through its childhood cancer fundraiser. The goal was $1,000.
As part of the effort, officers, dispatchers and others raised pledges in exchange for getting their head shaved. In the end, six people got the haircut, including three police officers, one of the city’s female dispatchers and Ald. Patrick Stoner.
