Happy Thanksgiving, South Milwaukee.
I hope this day finds you with family, friends and football … and, if it doesn’t, you are in the thoughts and prayers of the Brooks family.
And it’s that family that I am most thankful for. I would be nothing without them and their support. It’s been a terrific year, and I hope even bigger things are to come in 2014. I am blessed to have them behind me.
How about you? What are you most thankful for? Post your comments below!

So, SO much! An opportunity to spend the day and share dinner with loved ones, the best husband ever, superb medical care which helps us maintain a good life, community, fantastic neighbors, family near and far, abundance, being able to share — particularly with those in need, my wonderful writing buddies, friends friends and friends!
And an alderman who cares so much about his constituents and city!
I follow and enjoy your blog. I find it incredibly ironic that you voted the way that you did on chickens and pitbulls BUT approve a new liquor license–which by any argument or reason given has proven to be more dangerous –does SM really need another bar? Likely not. Is alcohol more dangerous than a dog? Very much so and far more insidious to the community In its totality. You did your community a disservice by voting this way this time and I think your reasoning this time was flawed. Too bad for SM
