The South Milwaukee School District is again offering free lunch at the high school, through the federal Summer Food Service Program. The program started June 23, and on days when summer school is in session, they are regularly serving more than 300 kids. It continues through August 8.

Also, through the resourcefulness and volunteer spirit of several area residents, lunches are also being offered at Lakeview each weekday this summer, thanks to a partnership with the Hunger Task Force and Salvation Army.
