South Milwaukee can claim the reigning Sundance Film Festival winner for Best World Cinema Documentary. His name is Chad Gracia, and the South Milwaukee High School graduate screened his new film, “The Russian Woodpecker,” on Sunday at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center. It was terrific.
Chad also brought the subject of the film, Ukrainian artist Fedor Alexandrovich, to South Milwaukee.
Congratulations to Chad, and I wish him well. We should all celebrate this native son!
