Just a quick plug for a couple terrific local dinners this weekend …
- On Friday, Trinity Lutheran Church (my church) is hosting its annual Meatball Supper. It’s always a fun event, with some great food and fellowship. All are welcome. Dinner is served from 4 to 7 p.m., and takeout is available. Trinity is located at 2507 5th Ave.
- On Saturday, the Heritage Days Parade Committee is hosting its annual Spaghetti Dinner starting at 2 p.m. at Jack’s of All Trades, 2616 5th Ave. Details here.
Would be nice to have the prices listed so i know if i can make one or both.
Thanks again Mayor for bringing attention to both these fine all you can eat events. I will attend both. I am not sure the price but the food is hot, nicely cooked and served with a smile. Now comparing the events is difficult, because of the different formats. The Friday event has the bigger plates, but the Saturday event you get your meal hot from the pot. I suggest getting early to both events, their is better seating early. I will try to get back on how the food and service was.
