I was proud to honor the master gardeners behind the beautiful garden at Wil-o-Way Grant, winner of this year’s South Milwaukee Beautification Committee Best of Tour award. Well done!

Erik,
What happened? I thought the garden tour was for home owners. Although the people who worked on the Will-o-Way project did a wonderful job, I don’t believe it should have been included in this year’s tour or any for that matter. I believe this took away from what the event should have really been focused on, the homeowners who put so much time and sweat into trying to get their homes and gardens prepared for this tour. They must truly be disappointed, I know I would have been. Also, why aren’t pictures of all the homes posted?
All that hard work and nothing to show for it?
I don’t believe that was ever the case, and I think the tour should be inclusive of anyone who has a special garden in the city. Thankfully, there are lots to choose from! This year’s group this was terrific, and I celebrated all of the gardens in dozens of pictures posted to my mayoral Facebook page the day of the event. Last night was meant to celebrate “the best of the best.”
Erik,
Will-o-Way is not the city of South Milwaukee, it’s part of the Milwaukee county park system.
When it comes to celebrating the best of South Milwaukee, it’s all the same to me!
Not to the home owners it’s not! End of discussion.
