The South Milwaukee Beautification Committee has announced its fall awards program, the Rocketober Awards, recognizing those with the best fall, Halloween or Thanksgiving-themed decorations on their homes or businesses. Winners will be selected to receive a sign and recognition on the city’s/mayor’s digital platforms. Deadline to enter is October 16th.

As long as Mayor Brooks is taking off a while and there will be little to no excitement to read, why not share our water bill amounts? Just got ours. For 2 adults, 299.75!
I’m still checking email! Are you saying I can’t take a few days off to celebrate my wedding anniversary? Noted! I provide this blog as a community service — I know of no other mayor that does this. I’ll continue to. Starting again on Wednesday. As for your water bill, I hate the increases too. But they are going to fund mandatory upgrades to the system, to ensure state compliance.
