It’s not too often a South Milwaukee pitcher hits 100 mph on the radar gun, but that’s happening now with Nate Snead.
In case you haven’t been following Nate, the 2022 South Milwaukee graduate is a freshman at Wichita State University, and he’s quickly getting noticed for his work on the mound — including an invitation to play for the Northwoods League Lakeshore Chinooks this summer in Mequon.

!! Welcome back to Lakeshore, South Milwaukee-native Nate Snead! The Wichita State freshman has made 12 appearances out of the bullpen for the Shockers this year, tossing 17.2 innings and striking out 22 batters. And when we say he throws we’re not lying. The young right-hander hit 100 mph a few times in Sunday’s win versus Oklahoma State!
