From the vantage point of the soda table — where Trinity Lutheran Church volunteers served thirsty guests — Wednesday’s South Milwaukee Fire Department Spaghetti Dinner looked to be a huge success.
And South Milwaukee’s Heritage Days celebration is just getting started.
Thursday, it’s Evening on the Avenue. Friday through Sunday, it’s Lionsfest. Saturday, it’s the Heritage Days parade and the duck race.
My previous post has a full schedule. Hope to see you around the next few days!
(In fact, I’ll be walking the parade route handing out flyers promoting this blog. Say hi if you see me.)

The dinner was great and it seemed to draw a large crowd! When we got there at 5 and for a short time after the line went out to and past the ticket table! Much better turnout this year than last year when it was so hot.
Trying to find out the full route. Start to finish. Help please. 🙂
Justin: The parade starts around 8th and Milwaukee, heads west on Milwaukee to 16th Avenue, then north to Lionsfest. Hope to see you there!
