On the evening of 5/16/2016, SMPD was notified of gunshots fired, inside a residence, in the 1300 block of Madison Avenue. The caller reported gunshots and a woman and child screaming inside the residence. Neighbors also reported hearing a noise, similar to gunshots, in the area.
The South Shore Joint Tactical Unit responded and found the residence to be empty. The resident of that home was later spoken to, in person, by Milwaukee Police. She was found to be fine and she reported no shooting took place in her home.
