Why isn’t this held on Earth Day?
For those who cannot commit to April 29th and the city-wide cleanup, the Friends of Grant Park are hosting a beach and/or park cleanup on the 22nd, the date normally associated with Earth Day. We’ll meet at the main beach lot at 9 a.m. Bags will be provided. See FB page of “Friends of Grant Park” for more details in the coming weeks. There’ll be plenty of Climate and Science marches to participate in as well on the 22nd if local cleanup isn’t possible.
Also, the Friends of the Mill Pond will be sponsoring are annual Free Kids Fishing Clinic held at the Mill Pond on April 22nd from (9:00 am – 2:00 pm).
Spend time in our County Parks and clean up the beach and do some fishing.
