Spring General Election: In-Person Absentee Voting Now Open

In-person absentee voting for the spring 2018 general election is now open, and runs through Friday, March 30.

You can cast an absentee ballot at the clerk’s office at City Hall, 2424 15th Ave. Hours are 7:30 to 4 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, and 7:30 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 23. On Good Friday, March, 30, the clerk’s office will be open for absentee voting from 1 to 5 p.m.

Remember to bring your photo ID.

There are contested races for South Milwaukee School Board, Milwaukee County supervisor, and Wisconsin Supreme Court; they will appear on all ballots.

  • Here is a sample ballot for District 1, where there are four aldermanic candidates running for two spots on the April 3 ballot, in addition to the other races.

    The most import thing is to vote. A good turnout shows an active voter base. This leads to South Milwaukee politicians getting a better response from county, state and federal representatives when asking for South Milwaukee projects. Fixing Oak Creek parkway would be an example.
