It’s one of my favorite events of the year, and the 38th Annual 128th Air Refueling Wing Civic Dinner Dance didn’t disappoint on Thursday.
A special congratulations to Honored Citizen of the Year Bill Moore, who has strong local ties. He is a former South Milwaukee resident and is a member of American Legion Post 27 Van Eimeren-Kolonka, and the South Milwaukee Veterans’ Council.
Thanks, Bill, for all you do, and thanks to the volunteer committee who puts on this terrific event each year. It’s an honor to attend.
I tried to post the comment below on your 128th event blog post, Erik, but can’t w/o providing my Word Press password. I have three, each is specific to a blog I manage and don’t want them applied to anything else. I thought it was a good opportunity to put a plug in for the Rotary Club’s Flag Day Flags for Heroes event. Maybe you can post it for me. Thanks, Jerrianne
Bill sounds like someone who could be honored with a flag in the Rotary Club’s Flags for Heroes event on Flag Day in South Milwaukee. https://southmilwaukeeblog.com/2018/05/10/flags-for-heroes-rotary-club-brings-program-to-south-milwaukee/
This is a picture of me and my two brothers (Diane Dill Kuban, David Dill and Tom Dill) accepting the Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross on behalf of our father, Captain William C. Dill.
