Here is more on the cleanup from the Friends …
Reminding you of an opportunity to help clean up the Oak Creek Watercourse this Saturday October 13th, 2018. Our targeted area is: N Chicago Avenue west to Nicholson Avenue. We meet at 8:00 am in the High School parking lot – a Tan Hyundai Sonata – where you’ll sign in, receive a safety vest to wear, some gloves, bags and a bottle of water. If you have boots, grabbers etc..please bring them along. You can even bring a change of clothes in case you get wet. We work till around noon. The Friends of the Mill Pond will sponsor the lunch which is at Grobschmidt Pool behind City Hall. If your group does come, we ask that adults be present and participate too. Milwaukee County Parks will be picking up the garbage along the route. If you are coming could you give me an estimate amount so we have enough food and drinks. (Email: NancyWucherer@gmail.com)
I love October in South Milwaukee!
