Fighting Hunger, One Free Breakfast at a Time: St. Mark’s Steps Up

I love the community spirit of South Milwaukee, how so many people rally around problems with positive solutions.

Our churches lead the way.

First, it was First Congregational United Church of Christ and their monthly Community Meal, which continues the third Thursday of every month at 1111 N. Chicago Ave.

Now, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is stepping up to fight hunger — and bring the community together — with a free monthly breakfast, starting April 14.

Details below and here. Well done, St. Mark’s!

I would like to thank the First Congregational United Church of Christ for the excellent meal on March 15,2018. Chicken breast and mashed potatoes was the meal. Better than most family restaurant meals.
